Full Job Description
The Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging Section. Academic rank will be determined based on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience. The successful applicant will join a growing clinical service who work across all aspects of cardiovascular and thoracic radiology including chest radiography, chest and cardiac CT (including coronary CTA), and thoracic and cardiovascular MR (including stress perfusion CMR). We support a large lung cancer screening program with patients from across the Northwestern Medicine system, and our hospital has a large lung transplant population. The section is also a recognized international leader in the delivery of high-volume, cutting-edge cardiovascular MR services which we perform throughout our hospital system. Our faculty are regarded as highly collaborative across our campus and hospital system. We participate in numerous interdisciplinary conferences with our colleagues from cardiology, cardiac and thoracic surgery, pulmonology, and oncology. We have a cardiovascular imaging fellowship, a growing cardiothoracic imaging fellowship, and large complement of excellent residents who we are fortunate to help train. The Department of Radiology faculty provides clinical services to patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) and its Northwestern Medicine affiliates. NMH is a highly ranked, state-of-the-art tertiary medical center in the North Michigan Avenue area of downtown Chicago. It is the primary teaching hospital of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and is the academic center of the Northwestern Medicine network of regional hospitals and outpatient centers. This position will be based on the downtown campus, however, home PACS stations are provided to allow for maximum flexibility and the opportunity to work remotely as needed. Other flexible or remote reading opportunities are possible, and applicants are encouraged to inquire further to discuss all options. Qualified candidates will be ABR eligible or certified. The successful candidate will find a wealth of clinical, research, and teaching opportunities at their disposal. The expected base pay range for this position is $417,686 - $502,275.
