Position Summary
Responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations and performing pulmonary function testing, while supporting the coordination of both clinical and research studies conducted through the laboratory. Contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures and quality control measures to ensure accurate and consistent testing outcomes.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and calibrates PFT equipment.
  • Collects test samples, performs initial test analysis and advises staff on findings.
  • Performs tests according the American Thoracic Society Guidelines.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Assists in process billing, data entry/maintenance and lab equipment care/maintenance.
