Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our busy, growing cardiology practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with an experienced interventional cardiologist while providing comprehensive cardiovascular care in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.

Position Summary

The NP/PA will work collaboratively with the supervising physician to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Responsibilities include both office-based patient care and hospital rounding, offering continuity of care from the clinic to the hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the supervising cardiologist to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient cardiology office.
  • Perform hospital rounds, including follow-up evaluations and discharge planning.
  • Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, and develop treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support practice growth.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Pennsylvania NP or PA license (or eligible for licensure).
  • NCCPA certification (PA) or national NP certification.
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Previous cardiology or internal medicine experience is preferred but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
