In support of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Headquarters Management and Administrative Support Services (H-MASS) contract, Systems Intelligence is pleased to deliver management expertise to AFNWC headquarters directorates and provide comprehensive administrative support to AFNWC Senior Leaders. This Capability Development Support Manager role is located at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) and supports the Office of the Chief Scientist.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all taskers with the Task Management Tool system, performing daily checks for taskers received, determining the appropriate parties for assignment, and facilitating completion.
  • Create and submit AFNWC/CT-initiated taskers, and update AFNWC/CT-related materials (i.e. AFNWC/CT Staff Meeting slides) to accurately report the status of all TMT actions and activities in recurring meetings to include the AFNWC/CT staff meeting and other times, as requested.
  • Provide professional and responsive support to Senior Leadership (AFNWC Chief Scientist, AFNWC Deputy Chief Scientist, US-UK Liaison) along with AFNWC/CT’s Execution Support Leaders.
  • Provide programmatic support for the lifecycle of all CD innovation programs, such as SBIR, which includes transition activities; non-evaluation support for proposal evaluations (to include handling proprietary data); tracking and monitoring the completion of internal action items; updating schedules for CD innovation activities; coordinating venues for meetings; and capturing and distributing AFNWC/CT Staff Meeting minutes.
  • Proactively support the planning and execution of all other AFNWC CD activities, which includes the AFNWC-Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Civilian Development Workforce program, on a daily or as needed basis, using project management software, as necessary.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts for CD activities, to include creating questionnaires or surveys and analyzing the resultant data.
  • Track performance indicators, monitor project execution to identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure all data is reliable and accurate.
  • Advise and instruct AFNWC CD stakeholders concerning all required reporting and taskings, executing communications via approved methods (e.g., email, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) to meet government deadlines.
  • Design, create, edit, and manage the AFNWC/CT SharePoint site, ensuring the design reflects Government requirements and is approved by an AFNWC/CT Government member before changes are enacted.
  • Manage the day- to-day functioning of the site.
  • Monitor workflow emails daily, ensuring correspondence receives near-immediate acknowledgement and that a full response is provided within 24-36 business hours.
  • This includes forwarding correspondence and taskings to the appropriate point of contact and tracking items to resolution.
  • Maintain and implement Government-concurred improvements to the current electronic database on standard Government systems to track all AFNWC CD program initiatives, including SBIR contact lists.
  • Stay current on the status of all assigned CD projects to ensure the database contains all necessary information for analysis.
  • Prepare, maintain, and deliver the report of the CD program's activities and performance for the performance period, including but not limited to: major achievements, critical portfolio risks, strategic recommendations, an objective, data-supported narrative assessing the current strategy’s successes and challenges, Technology Readiness Level (TRL) maturation across the portfolio and metrics detailing transition success rates, and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis
Qualifications
  • An active DoD SECRET security clearance is required for consideration.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in either a Science, Technology Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field or a business discipline (e.g, Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting).
  • A Master’s degree from an accredited institution in such a field is highly preferred. 5+ relevant years of experience highly preferred.
  • Recent (within the last three (3) years) government or industry experience in at least one (1) of the following areas: Science and Technology (S&T), Acquisition, Sustainment, or Test and Defense industry technology insertion.
  • Professional Communication – Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to compose, edit, and manage non-technical correspondence in accordance with the Air Force Tongue and Quill.
  • Meeting and Event Coordination – Must be able to plan, coordinate, and provide logistical support for meetings, including those with senior leaders for program management reviews and other program developments.
  • Content Management – Experience creating, editing, and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint pages.
  • Organizational Acumen – A thorough understanding of organizational goals, priorities, and policies to effectively assemble reports, respond to inquiries, and resolve challenges.
  • Task Management – Proven ability to facilitate and track official taskers across multiple locations using designated management tools, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Knowledge of DoW and Department of the Air Force (DAF) technology innovation, maturation, transition, and related S&T acquisition processes. An understanding of the SBIR and STTR programs, to include program legislation, enterprise roles, and execution processes, is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise and operational competence in the following systems and software: Microsoft Office Suite (Work Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Collaboration Platforms (Microsoft Teams, ZoomGov), scheduling software, and TMT).
