Salary Information HL24 - $86,572.00 - $112,543.74 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for the delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of operating trades programming and related trades training offered at the campus as well as operational oversight of the maintenance garage.
- Ensure program delivery meets regulatory, industry, safety, and accreditation requirements, while maintaining alignment with provincial and industry workforce needs.
- Support instructors in curriculum delivery, student success initiatives, program development, and the effective integration of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Monitor student recruitment, retention, progression, and graduation rates, and implement strategies to enhance student success and program outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, employers, government agencies, and community stakeholders to support work-integrated learning opportunities, program relevance, and graduate employment.
- Collaborate with Academic Schools and College leadership to identify labour market demands and support the development of new training opportunities within the heavy equipment, transportation, and skilled trades sectors.
- Oversee campus operations, budgets, resource allocation, equipment utilization, and staffing requirements related to operating trades programming and other campus activities.
- Support the acquisition, maintenance, and renewal of training equipment, simulators, and facilities to ensure safe and effective learning environments.
- Lead recruitment, supervision, performance management, and professional development activities for campus employees.
- Identify funding opportunities and coordinate projects that enhance training capacity, student experience, and industry engagement.
- Represent the College at industry events, advisory committee meetings, community functions, and stakeholder consultations.
- Contribute to strategic planning, operational planning, and the achievement of College goals and objectives.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Screening Criteria- Undergraduate degree in Education, Business, Leadership, Trades Management, Adult Education, or a related field.
- Experience in post-secondary education, training delivery, workforce development, skilled trades, or a related sector.
- Experience leading operational activities, program delivery, educational services, or comparable functions.
- Experience working with industry stakeholders, employers, regulatory bodies, or apprenticeship/trades-related organizations.
- Experience in the operating trades would be an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
