Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently seeking a Senior Production Manager, to provide technical leadership for our clients and staff on a variety of Power sector projects. This position will be part of Stantec's Environmental Services team that provides the full range of expertise needed to address a variety of design projects, including support to public utilities, new electric transmission and rebuild projects, project access road planning and design, civil/environmental substation and battery storage facility design, and solar site/civil/stormwater due diligence and design development. Our staff members have established excellent working relationships with utilities and Power sector developers throughout the mid-Atlantic, and our knowledge and interdisciplinary expertise allow us to help our clients develop the most effective and innovative approaches to their environmental / engineering compliance goals.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Task Lead for Power Sector engineering projects with responsibility for driving consistency across plan production for a variety of accounts.


  • Oversee AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting technician support for plan and supporting document development.


  • Support preparation of conceptual and construction plans for environmental constraints and planning documents, civil engineering plans, stormwater management, water quality improvement projects, plats, environmental inventory maps, permit support graphics, and report graphics.


  • Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on time delivery, technical quality and adherence to scope and budget - includes coordinating work efforts, preparing deliverables and reports, client stewardship and coordination on multi-discipline projects.


  • Create civil utility models and designs for water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, gas mains, telecom and electrical duct banks to provide proper separations horizontally in accordance with state and federal regulations.


  • Access mapping identification, field scouting, and construction planning for electric transmission projects


  • Interaction with clients to secure and transmit digital information.


  • Participation in team and independent based work.


  • Check discipline-related drawings and documents.


  • Ensure drawings are in accordance with project scope, client specifications and standards.


  • Ensure drawings are dimensionally clear, complete and correct.


  • Provide technical leadership for projects in the Mid-Atlantic US (MD, VA, WV, NC, SC), performing a variety of tasks to plan, execute and deliver the project.


  • Support environmental permitting strategy, developing regulatory strategy, and directing environmental field surveys and construction compliance for a variety of projects.


  • Complete and/or oversee permit application preparation, including gathering supporting documentation, conducting assessments, and coordinating comment response with agencies.


  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams. Support proposal development


  • Support and ensure implementation of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work and coordinate with HSSE professionals during the execution of all phases of project planning and implementation.


  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships, including seeking opportunities for new business.


Qualifications

  • Virginia DEQ Dual Combined Administrator certification preferred.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental Engineering, or other closely related degree / experience required.


  • Minimum of 10 years prior experience in a similar role required
