OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced AutoCAD Designer to join the New Providence NJ office Civil Engineer Team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in collaborating with engineers, scientists, project managers, and other technical staff to prepare detailed drawings, designs, and figures for technical documents.
Strong organizational, communication, and design skills are essential to efficiently produce high-quality output while adhering to budget constraints, TRC standards, and schedules on multiple concurrent projects.
Responsibilities- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software packages to develop comprehensive civil drawings for all phases of engineering design for a diverse range of projects including commercial land development, residential land development, renewable energy facilities, and stormwater management systems.
- Review and interpret regulatory requirements, sketches, notes, survey data, and other input materials to determine the optimal approach for preparing detailed drawings and operating a CAD workstation with high proficiency.
- Assist in the development of internal CAD standards and manage drawing databases.
- Perform self-checks on all work and review the work of others to ensure precision and compliance with project specifications.
- Mentor CAD users, designers, and engineers on best practices for drawing setup, management, and development.
- Attend client and team meetings with project personnel.
- Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
- Assist other work groups across offices and disciplines on an as-needed basis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications- 15+ years of relevant experience working on civil engineering site plans.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel is required.
- Experience using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible, well organized, accountable and dependable.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
Salary RangeUSD $35.00 - USD $45.00 /Hr.
