We are seeking a full-time, experienced Client Accounting Services Manager to oversee accounting, operational reporting, and financial compliance activities across a portfolio of assets to help build our growing client accounting service line of Family Office Accounting, Fund Administration and Accounting, and Real Estate Accounting. The individual will be a key contact with owners and responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial accounting and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a key member of the Client Accounting Services team, providing accounting, financial reporting, and advisory support to clients across the professional services sector, including real estate, private equity, and family office clients.
• Act as the primary contact for assigned clients, responding to client and investor inquiries and requests, and fostering strong relationships through proactive communication and exceptional client service.
• Oversee the day-to-day accounting function for a portfolio of entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and in compliance with relevant accounting bases and rules.
• Lead the monthly and quarterly financial accounting processes for a portfolio of entities, including review of closing entries. WIP, accruals, intercompany transactions, cash and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable accounting guidance, internal controls, company policies, and relevant industry reporting standards.
• Prepare financial schedules, reporting packages, and ad hoc analyses for clients and firm leadership.
• Review and validate calculations per agreements, including owner capital calls and distributions, investment returns, loan compliance obligations, and other financial agreements.
• Monitor cash balances, analyzing projected cash position to determine timing of owner capital calls and distributions.
• Review and approve wire and ACH payments for certain real estate acquisitions, loan closings, recapitalizations, owner distributions, intercompany transactions, and invoice payments.
• Assist with payroll processing, payroll withholding tax filings, and preparation of informational filings such as Forms 1099, W-2, etc.
• Support client onboarding activities, including system implementations and process transitions.
• Supervise accounting personnel responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, cash activity, invoice processing, and other general ledger functions. Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities.
• Act as liaison with tax accounting team at year-end.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership to drive process improvement initiatives designed to enhance reporting efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve data quality.
• Aid in special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline required.
  • CPA designation or active pursuit of certification is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within real estate, public accounting, or other similar industries.
  • Prior managerial experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, often competing, deadlines, owners, and deliverables across a client portfolio
