Full Job Description
Background check, US Citizenship, secret clearance, and drug screening are requirements of this position. Contingent upon award. The McHenry Management Group (TMMG) is seeking an experienced Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Manager to support Vessel Construction Management (VCM) Services as part of the Landing Ship Medium (LSM). The IMS Manager serves as TMMG's senior authority for all program level schedule development, integration, and governance across the five year multi shipyard construction program. This position is responsible for establishing a unified, controlled scheduling framework that ensures every shipyard plans, sequences, and reports work consistently throughout the life of the program. Operating as an extension of the VCM's Program Management Office, the IMS Manager develops and maintains the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), creates and enforces scheduling standards, conducts schedule health and critical path analysis, and ensures schedule integration across engineering, production, procurement, testing, trials, and delivery. Unlike a shipyard scheduler focused on production execution, this position governs the end to end program schedule, ensuring each shipyard operates under the same scheduling expectations, logic structures, reporting methods, and milestone frameworks. The successful candidate will engage daily with Vessel Construction Managers, Test & Evaluation leadership, Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, ABS, NAVSEA, OEM vendors, and on-site TMMG planning personnel. The IMS Manager ensures schedule accuracy, identifies risk before it affects cost or milestones, drives cross yard schedule alignment, and provides independent, objective schedule assessments to leadership. Requirements Minimum fifteen (15) years supporting large-scale shipbuilding, naval construction, or industrial program scheduling. Minimum ten (10) years developing or managing Integrated Master Schedules using Primavera P6. Proven experience performing CPM analysis, schedule risk assessments, and multi-yard schedule integration. Experience aligning schedules with construction milestones, test events, and delivery requirements. Experience collaborating with customer representatives, classification societies, regulatory agencies, and OEMs. Strong understanding of system completion sequencing, testing integration, and milestone readiness processes. Physical Job Requirements Ability to work effectively in a remote environment using schedule and collaboration systems. Ability to review and manage large volumes of technical data, schedules, drawings, and progress reports. Ability to travel 25-35% to shipyards, vendor sites, and customer meetings. Ability to access active shipyard environments, climb ladders, navigate decks, and stand for extended durations. Ability to respond to urgent schedule issues outside normal business hours during critical events. Education/Certification Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred. Equivalent shipbuilding or industrial planning experience may substitute for formal education.
