Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain aircraft maintenance documentation for scheduled and unscheduled tasks.
  • Plan and coordinate various aircraft inspections including special and phase inspections.
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure aircraft availability for flight schedules.
  • Prepare comprehensive maintenance reports for long-term requirements.
  • Maintain Aircraft Logbooks, documenting current maintenance actions.
  • Ensure pre-flight maintenance compliance and assist in pilot documentation processes.
  • Keep Maintenance Officer and COR updated on aircraft status and contract requirements.

Full Job Description

The C-12/UC-35 Citation Army Transport Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor Performs organizational level maintenance on assigned aircraft under contract to Amentum.

  • Monitors and maintains documents of all aircraft scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. 

  • Plans and coordinates all aircraft inspections (special, conditional, phase, etc.).  Dispatch and monitoring of all assigned tasks and associated jobs to work centers. 

  • Work closely with the Operations Department to ensure Aircraft are available to meet the Flight Schedule.

  • Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports in support of aircraft long range maintenance requirements. 

  • Maintains Aircraft Logbooks Books (ACN) showing complete as well as outstanding maintenance actions. 

  • Ensures all required maintenance has been performed before flights and Brief and de-brief of pilots as required, assisting in the documentation of aircraft flight time and maintenance discrepancies.

  • Comply with all current sections of the DA PAM 738-751 Series as applicable to aircraft maintenance.

  • Responsible for mission configuration, working with various Army entities as required. 

  • Will instruct and assist in training of lower-level employees in proper work methods and performance of their job duties.

  • Performs related duties as assigned including any and all duties of lower rated technical personnel within their classification.

  • Keeps Maintenance Officer always briefed on Aircraft status. 

  • Keeps the COR briefed on all contract requirements. 

  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in associated discipline is highly desired; a minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

  • A valid (FAA) A&P certificate is Required.

  • Must have an extensive background in the field of Army Transport Aircraft maintenance, with a minimum of Five (5) years of C-12/UC-35 Cessna Citation hands-on maintenance experience required.

  • Must have experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. 

  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively at senior management levels.

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage a large and diverse workforce.

  • Must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines, and be skilled in operations, logistics, and resource management.

  • A valid Driver’s license is required.  

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.

Physical and Additional Qualifications:

  • Required to obtain a Govt. issued Common Access Card (CAC).

  • Maintains aircraft historical records, as well as various other aircraft files in support of aircraft maintenance, and verification of all Maintenance Action Documentation.

  • Knowledgeable of DA PAM 738-751 and FAA Federal Aviation Regulations. Knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures. Possess working knowledge of applicable aircraft.

  • Experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy.
