WHAT WE WILL EXPECT FROM YOUThe Business Systems Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing business processes, financial systems, and data visibility. This position partners closely with Finance, Commercial, and other back-office teams to develop solutions that improve efficiency, automate workflows, and enhance decision-making.
The ideal candidate will leverage tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Python, JavaScript, Excel Macro and ERP system integrations to build dashboards, automate reporting and streamline data management. This role reports directly to the IT Manager.
Essential Functions of the Job: - Develop and maintain integrations between ERP systems and other internal business applications.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel Macros and other business tools.
- Create visual reporting solutions that support financial analysis, commercial trading activities, operational metrics, pricing trends, and KPI tracking.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for system optimization, process automation, and enhanced reporting capabilities.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms.
Responsibilities:- Utilize Power Automate and other workflow automation tools to streamline manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to support system enhancements and troubleshooting efforts.
- Support data extraction, automation, and reporting through scripting and query development.
- Enhance database management, data modeling, and data extraction processes.
- Develop scalable solutions that improve accessibility and usability of business data across departments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and process maps.
- Partner with Finance, Commercial and other teams to support reporting, pricing analysis, trading dashboards, budgeting, forecasting, and ERP-related initiatives.
- Work closely with departments across the organization to identify reporting needs and develop technology-driven solutions.
- Provide user support and training for dashboards, reporting tools, and automated processes.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis, financial systems, data analytics, or related roles.
- Experience working with ERP systems Great Plains a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, Python, and/or JavaScript.
- Experience building dashboards, automations, and system integrations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in manufacturing, commodity trading, agriculture, energy, or industrial environments preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position is primarily sedentary and performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time and occasionally stand or walk. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively through speaking and hearing. Visual acuity required for reading, computer work, and reviewing documents. Occasionally required to lift or move office materials weighing up to 15-20 pounds.
