Business Systems Analyst for an outstanding career opportunity in our
Information Technology department at our Williamsville, NY headquarters.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as a trusted advisor, facilitator, and liaison between business areas, IT teams, vendors, and external partners, driving collaboration, stakeholder alignment, decision-making, and delivery of business value.
- Engage with business partners to understand processes, challenges, opportunities, and long-term objectives, identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and technology solutions that enhance operational performance, compliance, customer experience, and business outcomes.
- Champion innovation and emerging technologies by promoting programs, identifying and evaluating AI and automation opportunities, conducting formal and informal learning sessions, and helping business partners realize measurable value from technology investments.
- Support Agile Scrum and Kanban teams by translating business needs into actionable technology solutions, eliciting and documenting requirements, user stories, process flows, and business cases.
- Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, refine backlogs, and develop business and technology roadmaps aligned to strategic objectives.
- Develop communications, presentations, spotlight articles, success stories, and other materials that share business outcomes, lessons learned, innovation achievements, and technology adoption successes across the organization.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This position is hybrid and will have an onsite requirement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in General Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
- Experience in environments utilizing Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies
- High level of initiative, professionalism, and leadership with strong interpersonal/communications skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with moderate-to-strong technical competencies
- Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment. Effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Well organized and self-motivated with strong customer service, project, and analytical skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 7-10 years prior hands-on experience in a Business Analyst or Product Owner role.
- Experience using analytics, reporting, dashboarding, or automation tools to improve business processes and support data-driven decisions.
- Experience in the Energy Sector and/or Natural Gas Distribution and Transmission.
- Experience supporting Oracle Cloud ERP and/or Oracle HCM solutions, including business process analysis, requirements gathering, testing, training, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $98,000.

The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
