Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Teacher to join our Morven Campus (Senior School - Grades 8 to 12). The ideal candidate will be a passionate and committed educator who will demonstrate the ability to contribute to the many facets of school life faculty only: including extra-curricular responsibilities. This is a Permanent Full Time position that will start August 28, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging, rigorous, and future-focused business education courses that meet or exceed curriculum standards while fostering student curiosity, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Enable students to develop a deep understanding of business concepts through the study of areas such as accounting, entrepreneurship, information and communication technology (ICT), international business, marketing, business leadership, and emerging trends in the global economy.
  • Create authentic learning experiences that connect classroom learning to real-world contexts through industry partnerships, guest speakers, mentorship opportunities, case studies, applied projects, and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Foster the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and research skills, enabling students to investigate complex business challenges and communicate findings accurately, ethically, and effectively.
  • Design inquiry-based learning experiences that encourage students to apply business knowledge, skills, and mindsets to local, national, and global issues and opportunities.
  • Cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset by empowering students to identify problems, generate innovative solutions, evaluate risks, and create value through meaningful projects and initiatives.
  • Differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the diverse needs of learners while maintaining high expectations and a culture of academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to develop innovative, interdisciplinary learning experiences that strengthen connections between business education and the wider world.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, alumni, post-secondary institutions, and community organizations to expand authentic learning opportunities for students.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth, reflection, and the ongoing improvement of teaching practice.
  • Embrace innovation and take thoughtful risks in the development of new pedagogical approaches, assessment practices, and learning experiences.
  • Provide additional support for students through tutorials, mentorship, and learning opportunities beyond regular classroom hours.
  • Contribute to the broader life of the school through participation in co-curricular programs, student activities, and community initiatives.
  • Teaching assignments may include AP Statistics.

Required qualifications

  • Experience facilitating project-based, experiential, entrepreneurial, or inquiry-based learning.

  • Strong collaborator who values teamwork, professional learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies at the secondary level
  • Prior experience as a DECA Chapter Advisor or co-advisor
  • Motivated to learn and improve teaching practice
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Experience teaching with technology

The hiring range for this position is from $78,342 to $116,666 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range. Please contact our Human Resources department at for questions or further clarification regarding the salary range.
