POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Strategy & Partnerships Senior Director serves as thestrategic digital advisorto the Value Chain Optimization organization, developing trusted partnerships that align digital investments with business priorities while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, andmeasurable business value. This role is accountable for shaping digital strategy, driving portfolio priorities, connecting business challenges to digital solutions, and ensuring successful execution through close partnership with enterprise architecture, product delivery, engineering, data, security, and operations teams.

This role manages staff, sets direction, deploys resources, and has responsibility for employee development, performance reviews, pay reviews, and staffing decisions. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes, or programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in high-level decision-making and shapes the vision and overall direction for digital business enablement for the Value Chain Optimization organization, creating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Partners with senior business and Digital stakeholders as a trusted strategic advisor, applying value chain optimization expertise and enabling technology knowledge to align priorities, shape future digital solutions, manage risks and opportunities, and advance measurable business value.

  • Translates organizational vision and business strategy into actionable department goals, business capability requirements, digital awareness strategies, and risk management frameworks.

  • Oversees recruitment, development, retention, performance management, and succession planning to build strong leadership pipelines. Collaborates with peers on the program portfolio for cross-functional alignment, directing its progression against strategic objectives including financial management, value realization, and risk escalation.

  • Defines and executes the technology roadmap by translating business goals and challenges into prioritized digital initiatives and solutions that improve business processes, productivity, customer experience, and overall business outcomes.

  • Identifies opportunities to improve business outcomes through process optimization, automation, and emerging technologies.

  • Prioritizes and manages incoming business requests, balancing resources, timelines, and strategic value.

  • Facilitates clear communication between Digital and business stakeholders, managing expectations and promoting transparency.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.

  • Fifteen (15) or more years of diversified Digital/IT experience required.

  • Eight (8) or more years of managing leaders of leaders, cross functional teams and experience influencing key senior stakeholders required.

  • Ten (10) or more years of downstream Oil & Gas industry experience required.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in executing value chain optimization solutions (Plan-to-Produce process) in a multi-asset and a multi-region portfolio.

  • Experience in executing or managing large multi-million-dollar programs preferred.

  • Experience with Aspentech suite of applications and unified solutions supporting value chain processes software preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bachelor99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.
 15+ years of diversified IT experience
 8+ years of managing leaders of leaders, cross functional teams and experience influencing key stakeholders.
