Full Job Description
The hiring range for this opportunity is $100,000 to $125,000 annual salary along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY - Business Relationship Manager II

Proactively identifies business prospects through business development efforts and collaboration with various business groups; working closely with Commercial Banking, Treasury Management and Retail Banking to acquire and expand business relationships. Presents a variety of business lending and deposit solutions to meet client needs through profiling and understanding business & industry trends. Using business financial experience, is the primary sales contact for the small business market segment, to maximize small business growth through a proactive service and solutions approach. Responsible for overall relationship profitability.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acquires new operating business opportunities through targeted marketing efforts and proactive outreach, also by expanding and nurturing existing client relationships.
  • Discusses and promotes all Bank products and services to establish complete client relationship and collaborates with business partners, bringing in product specialists to help problem solve or structure a transaction.
  • Learns and understands the key components of the client's industry, business and personal goals to effectively make recommendations of the bank's products and services that would meet the client's needs.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, such as credit underwriters, analysts, and customer loan servicing officers to deliver comprehensive banking solutions to clients in a timely manner.
  • Attends networking and community events to build a strong professional network and represent the bank for the purpose of brand recognition, generating additional business, and identifying potential CRA opportunities for the bank.
  • Evaluates client's financial health and risk profiles to determine creditworthiness and suitability for different banking products and services.
  • Stays informed about market trends, industry insights, and regulatory changes to proactively identify opportunities for clients and for the bank.
  • Understands the local market and proactively develops relationships with centers of influence, and internal and external networks and referral sources to ensure ongoing growth.
  • Monitors portfolio for quality, risk, and adherence to policy. Works closely with portfolio managers, Management, and Credit Administration, to ensure sound portfolio management, client introductions, and timely resolution of issues.


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
  • Demonstrate leadership beyond normal scope of business.
  • Provide individual personal banking services to clients by partnering with Retail Banking.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS PREFERRED

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of business lending experience and education
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales, prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships.
  • A strong understanding of financial products and services and proficiency in financial analysis and risk assessment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to complete a high volume of work with accuracy.
