Job Title Business Operations, Senior Professional

About your role:

As a Business Operations, Senior Professional, you will support tax reporting operations related to Internal Revenue Code Section 6050W and Form 1099-K processes. You will work closely with internal operations, information technology, and partner-facing teams to validate process changes, resolve production issues, and help bank and independent sales organization partners manage merchant tax information. Your work helps reduce operational risk, support regulatory compliance, and improve reporting accuracy.

What you'll do:

  • Support compliance with Internal Revenue Code Section 6050W, Form 1099-K, and related state tax reporting requirements across business operations processes
  • Educate bank and independent sales organization partners on 1099-K logic, reporting processes, and merchant tax information management practices
  • Test and validate information technology changes that impact tax reporting workflows, file creation, and downstream operational processes
  • Partner with information technology teams to investigate production issues, document defects, and support timely resolution of tax process impacts
  • Manage testing and review activities to support accurate generation and distribution of 1099-K forms and B-Notice letters
  • Analyze tax reporting data, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements that reduce merchant backup withholding risk and operational impact
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support issue resolution and process execution

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 4+ years of experience in business operations, tax reporting operations, payments operations, or a related function supporting regulated processes
  • 4+ years of experience interpreting, applying, or supporting compliance with Internal Revenue Code Section 6050W, Form 1099-K requirements, tax reporting controls, or similar regulatory processes
  • 3+ years of experience testing business process changes, validating system outputs, and supporting defect resolution with information technology teams
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze data, validate results, and support reporting accuracy
  • Ability to research issues, document findings, and communicate process impacts and resolution steps to stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience working independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting, operations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Knowledge of Fiserv backend systems
  • Experience supporting tax form generation, B-Notice processing, or merchant backup withholding workflows
  • Familiarity with automation, artificial intelligence, or workflow optimization tools in an operations environment
  • Experience supporting bank, payments, or independent sales organization partner relationships

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range:

$67,500.00-$100,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
