Full Job Description

As the Business Operations Lead, you will be the architect of the internal systems required to manage this high-volume, high-quality output.

You will serve as a strategic partner to Clark’s technology arms, the Center of Excellence, and senior leadership. Your mandate is to move Fractile from a high-potential venture into a structured, dominant industry player. We are currently positioned to 10x the business, and we need a builder to construct the infrastructure required to support that growth.

This is a high-visibility role for a professional with the strategic mindset of an executive and the "bias for action" of an entrepreneur. You will drive alignment across sales, operations, and finance to ensure the business is scalable, projects are set up for success, and the organization remains financially sound.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Infrastructure

  • Process Development: Refine existing workflows to ensure they can support exponential growth. You will design and document the standard operating procedures needed to move from a startup mindset to a large-scale enterprise without sacrificing quality or speed.
  • Systems & Tools: Design and roll out the practical tools that help the team work more efficiently throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial lead to final closeout.
  • Reporting & Data Integrity: Take ownership of our internal reporting. You will simplify how we collect and share information, moving us away from manual data entry toward reliable, automated dashboards that give leadership a clear view of the business in real-time.

2. Business Lifecycle & Pipeline Management

  • Pipeline & Proposals: Partner with leadership to manage the business development pipeline, ensuring proposals are high-quality, market-informed, and successfully transitioned into the delivery phase.
  • Project Integration: Own the "hand-off" between winning work and project execution. Ensure all new projects are correctly structured in our systems with clear budgets, staffing plans, and defined workflows.
  • Revenue & AR: Ensure the business machine is working by managing the invoicing lifecycle. You will oversee the process of getting our clients billed accurately and ensuring timely collections to maintain healthy cash flow.

3. Financial & Business Health

  • P&L Stewardship: While supported by a corporate FP&A team, you will own the Fractile P&L. You must be able to articulate the "so-what" behind the numbers to executive leadership.
  • Executive Presence: Serve as a key voice in leadership meetings, translating operational data into actionable strategic intelligence.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, construction management, or high-growth operations.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Analytical Powerhouse: Strong technical abilities, including expert proficiency in Excel. Experience with databases, SAP, or other analytical tools is highly valued.
  • Builder Mindset: A desire to build processes from scratch rather than just managing existing ones.
  • Operational Generalist: You understand the basics of finance (P&L, AR/AP, Forecasting) but are primarily driven by organizational efficiency and execution.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity: You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where the path forward isn't always clearly defined.
