Role Summary:

Support critical business inter and intra divisional communications that enable alignment, execution, and organizational effectiveness across the Commercial organization. Responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering communication strategies that connect business priorities, commercial initiatives, leadership messaging, and operational changes to internal stakeholders. Acts as a key liaison between business leaders, functional teams, and commercial stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent, and actionable communication.

What You Will Do (Job Duties):

Commercial Communications & Organizational Alignment
  • Support the communication of commercial priorities, strategic initiatives, and operational changes across the organization.
  • Translate complex business information into clear, concise, and actionable messaging for various stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure communication activities align with commercial objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Assist leadership teams in preparing communication materials, presentations, and messaging frameworks.


Change Management & Business Readiness
  • Support change communication plans related to commercial processes, tools, organizational changes, and operational initiatives.
  • Identify communication risks and barriers that may impact stakeholder understanding or adoption.
  • Develop communication approaches that improve awareness, engagement, and readiness across affected teams.
  • Monitor stakeholder feedback and recommend actions to improve communication effectiveness.


Business Insights & Organizational Awareness
  • Gather feedback from key stakeholders to understand communication needs and organizational challenges.
  • Research industry trends, internal best practices, and communication approaches that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve information flow, transparency, and alignment across functions.


Communication Effectiveness & Measurement
  • Track communication reach, engagement, and effectiveness metrics.
  • Assess stakeholder understanding and adoption of key initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements to communication strategies based on feedback and performance indicators.


Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner with commercial leaders, operations teams, strategy teams, and functional organizations to align messaging.
  • Facilitate communication planning and coordination across multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and leadership teams.

Effective Communication: Communicates complex business information clearly and professionally through presentations, written materials, leadership messaging, and stakeholder updates tailored to the audience.

Relationship Management: Builds trusted working relationships with internal partners by listening actively, gathering feedback, and helping ensure communication needs are understood and addressed.

Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Experience supporting business continuity planning, organizational readiness, or communication efforts tied to critical business processes and operational change.
  • Background developing and coordinating division-level communications that support leadership messaging, business priorities, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Familiarity with applying corporate marketing and brand guidelines to ensure communication materials are consistent, professional, and aligned with enterprise standards.


Additional Information:
  • This position is located in Cary, NC.
  • Relocation assistance is not available.
  • Visa sponsorship and ISE assistance is not available.
  • This role requires up to 15% travel (domestic & international.)
  • This position is required to be onsite 5 days a week, when not traveling.


Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
