TITLE: BI ETL Developer III (Multiple Openings)
LOCATION: Charlotte, NC
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for Business Intelligence (BI) technology implementation and management. Responsible for production operations activities, including load monitoring, incident management, change management, break/fix development, performance tuning and optimization and application administration. Design, develop, implement and support new and existing data integration jobs using wide variety of tools. Lead and mentor junior team members and take responsibilities as subject matter expert (SME). Provide expert advice and education in the usage and interpretation of business data relevant to the business unit. Work closely with partners in gathering detailed requirements, establishing definitions, translating to technical requirements for team and gaining approval. Support all scheduled and non-recurring information needs of the business users. Query large datasets and tables comfortably to provide information requested by users. Actively identify solutions to enhance the existing BI infrastructure processes and technology. Understand and evaluate cross functional and system to system impacts of requirements and change requests.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field. 7 years of experience: in production operations including working with 24x7 batch load monitoring, incident management, change management, and break-fix patch development and implementation to address production failures; utilizing Atlassian Jira to manage incidents, code changes, and deployments; designing, developing and troubleshooting complex SQL processes and stored procedures to load and update data according to business requirements in reporting data marts including Teradata, Redshift, and Oracle; and performing data integration using ETL methodologies, Python, SQL, and Unix scripting in large scale environments built using relational database systems including Redshift and Teradata. 5 years of experience: in workflow orchestration design, scheduling, monitoring and troubleshooting issues using a combination of Broadcom Automic Automation, Apache Airflow, or IBM Tivoli; managing deployment and code changes across environments using Git, Bitbucket, or SVN; and delivering reporting solutions in a Business Intelligence or Information Technology environment. 2 years of experience using AWS applications including EC2, Redshift, and S3 to design, build, and manage data pipelines and workflows on AWS cloud platform. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field with 5 years of experience in the experience required above.
