Are you passionate about designing scalable analytics solutions that drive operational excellence across one of the world's largest transportation networks? As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer on the Global Transportation Services (GTS) - Transportation Engineering Systems (TESS) team, you will own the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of data engineering and analytics solutions that power 3P transportation performance visibility, automation, and decision-making across North America.
You will operate as a technical leader, defining the analytics strategy for critical business domains including 3P performance metrics, externalized software tooling, and cross-border metric parity. You will independently identify ambiguous, complex problems, decompose them into actionable workstreams, and deliver scalable solutions with minimal guidance. You will influence roadmaps, mentor junior engineers, and partner directly with senior leadership to translate business strategy into data-driven capabilities.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the architecture, design, and delivery of automated data pipelines, self-serve analytics tools, and reporting solutions for 3P transportation performance metrics across US and Canada
- Lead the development of scalable data solutions for externalized FC software metrics (FAAST), e-DSP metrics, and FDI data pipelines - defining ingestion patterns, transformation logic, and consumption layers
- Drive US/CA 3P metric & tooling parity initiatives, identifying gaps and delivering unified analytics frameworks
- Own the 3P S&OP dashboard development end-to-end, from requirements gathering through deployment and iteration
- Define technical standards, mentor BIEs and analysts on the team, and conduct design/code reviews
- Influence cross-functional roadmaps by partnering with engineering, product, and operations leadership to shape the analytics strategy for 3P externalized tools
A day in the life
**A day in the life** You will start your day reviewing the health of production pipelines you own and triaging any data quality issues impacting downstream consumers. You may then lead a design review for a new automated metrics solution, or dive into a deep-dive analysis on Canada 3P linehaul performance to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership. You will balance hands-on technical execution with strategic thinking, cross-team influence, and people development.
