Full Job Description
We're seeking a highly experienced and driven BDR Manager to lead and scale our Business Development team. As a key player within the go-to-market organization, you will oversee daily outbound operations, mentor BDRs, optimize prospecting processes, and collaborate closely with marketing and sales to drive qualified pipeline growth. This is a hands-on leadership role based in our Fresno office, requiring direct sales experience and a proven ability to hit aggressive growth targets.

Description

This is a high-visibility role with real upside-ideal for a sales leader who wants to architect and scale a best-in-class outbound function, gain executive exposure, and drive impact at one of the fastest-growing edtech companies in the country.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing BDR team to consistently exceed goals
  • Own and optimize outbound strategies including sequences, call scripts, objection handling, and account targeting
  • Establish daily/weekly KPIs and performance dashboards; review with team members and provide ongoing feedback
  • Partner with the Marketing Manager to review performance, refine lead gen campaigns, and align messaging
  • Work closely with AEs and Technical Solutions Specialist to ensure smooth handoff and conversion from MQL to SQL
  • Drive operational excellence through CRM hygiene, process documentation, and automation
  • Hire and onboard new BDRs as needed to support territory expansion
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and K-12 education priorities

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 2 years managing a BDR/SDR team
  • Track record of exceeding pipeline generation goals in a SaaS or high-growth environment
  • Experience selling or enabling teams selling into education is a strong plus
  • Deep familiarity with tools such as Apollo, HubSpot, Orum, or similar platforms
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and coaching skills
  • Highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable using KPIs to manage performance
  • Willing and able to work full-time on-site in our Fresno, CA office
