Business Data Analyst

About your role:

You will serve as a business data analyst supporting strategic planning, operating reviews, leadership reporting, and executive materials. You will work across technology, operations, finance, HR, and executive leadership to deliver reporting, analysis, and performance insights. Your work will help leaders monitor key priorities, assess business performance, and make informed decisions using accurate and timely data.

What you'll do:
  • Build and maintain reporting cadences, scorecards, and dashboards that track key performance indicators and support business and enterprise priorities.
  • Analyze financial, workforce, program, and operational data to identify trends, explain variances, and produce clear insights for leadership review.
  • Develop executive-ready reporting and presentation materials for business reviews, leadership meetings, and board updates.
  • Manage data sourcing, validation, reconciliation, and quality controls to improve reporting accuracy and consistency across datasets.
  • Evaluate strategic initiative portfolios by tracking milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery status to support prioritization and escalation decisions.
  • Lead improvements in self-service reporting, data automation, and reporting processes to increase efficiency, governance, and analytics maturity.
  • Partner with stakeholders across technology, operations, finance, HR, and leadership teams to define metrics, align reporting outputs, and translate business questions into measurable analysis.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 6+ years of experience in business data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or analytics within technology, operations, or similar business environments.
  • 6+ years of experience using SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and visualization tools to build dashboards, data models, and actionable analysis.
  • 6+ years of experience translating business questions into metrics, reporting frameworks, and executive-ready insights for senior leaders.
  • 6+ years of experience performing data validation, reconciliation, variance analysis, and trend analysis across multiple data sources.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data analytics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.


Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience supporting technology and operations organizations within financial services.
  • Experience analyzing strategic programs related to modernization, artificial intelligence, cost optimization, or analytics enablement.
  • Experience developing reporting for executive leadership, operating reviews, or board-level materials.
  • Master's degree in business, finance, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.


How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range
$97,500.00 - $164,400.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
