JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Project Manager II on the Business Banking team, you will manage projects and initiatives that involve Product, Technology, Operations, Sales, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Controls, and other partners. You will translate business priorities into clear project plans, coordinate activities and dependencies, monitor delivery, and provide stakeholders with timely visibility into progress, risks, issues, and decisions.

This role is well suited for someone who brings structure to complex work, communicates clearly across organizational levels, solves problems independently, and maintains momentum across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver multiple projects and initiatives supporting Business Banking priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, roles, milestones, and success measures.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, forecasts, and roadmaps that provide clear visibility into scope, dependencies, and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, establish priorities, and follow through on actions to support timely delivery.
  • Identify project risks and issues early, evaluate impacts, and drive appropriate escalation and resolution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend practical, actionable solutions to business and delivery challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working, then develop and implement solutions that increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy.
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc reports, project updates, and executive-ready presentations for leadership audiences.
  • Provide clear project status updates in operational and project meetings and serve as a point of coordination for issue resolution.
  • Use sound judgment, personal initiative, and a solution-focused approach to execute commitments with limited oversight.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional work, and deliver against established milestones.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across organizational levels, including executive audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative-thinking capabilities, including experience evaluating root causes and recommending solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including experience developing clear presentations for executive audiences, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technical and industry knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field, or 3 years of experience managing projects in a financial services environment.
  • Project management certification, such as Project Management Professional.
  • Experience taking ownership of deliverables and independently managing competing priorities.
  • Experience using AI-enabled analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, or increase accuracy.
