Job summary

As a Business Banking Product Controller on the Product Control team, you will help deliver accurate, timely financial and regulatory reporting that supports strategic decision-making. You will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data, and translate results into clear reporting for stakeholders. You will look for opportunities to streamline close and reporting timelines through process improvement and automated solutions. You will partner closely with Finance and other cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and maintain strong financial reporting practices.
Job responsibilities
  • Manage month-end reporting and assigned regulatory reporting deliverables
  • Analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data to support reporting accuracy
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and materials for stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Partner with Finance, Planning and Analysis, and other functional teams to deliver insights and resolve questions
  • Enhance controls and streamline processes, including integrating automated solutions
  • Implement new accounting standards and reporting requirements by staying current on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory changes impacting the business
  • Escalate issues appropriately and communicate complex information clearly and effectively
  • Collaborate across stakeholder groups to analyze new business initiatives and track outcomes
  • Maintain and improve financial and reporting systems to support ongoing business needs
  • Provide support for routine reporting, continuous ad hoc requests, and innovation initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, controllership, financial reporting, or related work
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver accurate results under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to distill complex data into clear, executive-ready insights
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using SAP and data tools (for example: Databricks and SQL) for data sourcing, reconciliation, and reporting
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting deliverables in a financial services environment
  • Experience improving close/reporting cycle times through automation or process redesign
  • Experience building reconciliations, controls, and documentation for key reporting processes
  • Proven ability to partner across functions and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Experience presenting analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
