Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our Capital Markets Data Engineering team. This role plays a key part in supporting liquidity and regulatory reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders (Treasury and Regulatory Reporting) and technical data engineering teams.
You will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and translating complex business requirements related to liquidity reporting, with a focus on the Federal Reserve's FR2052a report (including Securities Financing Transactions - SFT), Intraday Liquidity Stress Testing (ILST), and other regulatory mandates. Strong data analysis experience and expert-level SQL skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business users to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements and assess impact of upstream changes
• Act as a subject matter expert in liquidity reporting, especially FR2052a, SFT data attributes, and regulatory reporting within Capital Markets
• Perform in-depth data analysis, source-to-target mapping, and data validation using advanced SQL techniques
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and functional requirements for data engineering teams
• Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders (Finance, Liquidity, Compliance) and technology teams to ensure alignment
• Develop test plans, test cases, and actively support testing and validation of data pipelines and reporting solutions
• Maintain documentation including BRDs, FRDs, data flow diagrams, and data lineage
• Provide analytical support for ad-hoc data queries from business users and regulators
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, preferably within Capital Markets or Treasury
• Strong knowledge of liquidity and regulatory reporting, especially FR2052a and SFT reporting
• Expert-level SQL skills (complex joins, aggregations, window functions)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
• Excellent communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, testing, and deployment

Experience: 8-10 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 100000 to CAD 150000 .
