POSITION SUMMARYContractor shall provide business and administrative services support associated with the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThe contractor shall provide a broad range of services in functional areas that include business operations and workforce management. Work scope includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Administrative support activities:
- Advises OM leadership on Administrative Management activities.
- Provides administrative support for the OM Director and the OM Office, including: implementation of administrative policies, scheduling and supporting meetings/video conferencing, drafting responses to data calls and other office correspondence, and composing memoranda and letters for signature of office staff and tracking the completion of actions.
- Business support activities:
- Policy analysis and support related to travel, timekeeping, telework, space, and other administrative management programs
- Operational support and analysis involving workforce planning activities such as workforce tracking, staffing plan maintenance, and analysis of DOE info workforce data
- Initiate and track CHRIS non-recruit actions
- Data analysis and tracking of financial expenditure include recruitment and retention incentive programs, awards and recognition programs, supplies and materials, federal travel, and training.
- Analyze office and workforce trends and make recommendations for improved operating efficiency, including developing standard operating procedures and best practices documentation.
- Participate in working groups and complete special project assignments supporting the SC office of management activities.
- Requires knowledge and use of Microsoft Office tools and other DOE administrative systems as required. Scheduling PAMS and BEFAST meetings with OIM staff, contractor employees, and the functional working group
- Scheduling PAMS and BEFAST training and User Acceptance Testing
- Maintaining the PAMS Functional Working Group Leads' calendar
- Completing the necessary paperwork to get contractors' badges
- Requires knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Skype for Business and Teams, and other DOE administrative systems, e.g., Zoom, as required.

EDUCATION/TRAINING- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or another scientific or technical discipline is preferred
- Business Management Professional (BMP) Certification is a plus.
EXPERIENCE- One (1) to three (3) years of experience working on IT projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities with a professional, polished style
- Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), database tools, and document control systems
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
