GCyber is seeking a
Business Analyst to help a federal customer modernize how mission information is collected, integrated, acted upon, and presented to decision-makers. You will work directly with mission stakeholders and technical teams to turn operational needs into clear, testable requirements for data solutions, automated workflows, system integrations, dashboards, applications, and shared platform capabilities.
This opportunity is well suited to candidates from business analysis, business systems analysis, requirements analysis, functional analysis, product analysis, or process-improvement backgrounds. Experience in every technical area is not expected; the ability to understand users, clarify complex needs, and help teams deliver useful solutions is most important.
As the
Business Analyst, you will:
- Lead interviews, workshops, and requirements-elicitation sessions with mission users, product owners, technical teams, and leadership.
- Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, data flows, systems, interfaces, user roles, business rules, and operational pain points.
- Translate mission needs into functional and nonfunctional requirements, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, data mappings, interface requirements, dashboard requirements, and measurable outcomes.
- Maintain clear, usable delivery artifacts, including process maps, requirements traceability, decision logs, backlogs, priorities, dependencies, risks, and change requests.
- Serve as the day-to-day bridge between business and technical teams throughout solution design, development, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Support user acceptance testing, requirements validation, demonstrations, defect resolution, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
Minimum Requirements and Experience- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Current DoD 8140/8570-compliant baseline certification appropriate to the assigned position, such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, or another approved credential.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Three or more years of relevant experience in business analysis, business systems analysis, systems analysis, requirements analysis, product support, process improvement, or a related function; equivalent education, training, certifications, and experience will be considered.
- Experience gathering, documenting, validating, and managing business or functional requirements in a technology environment.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, writing, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across mission and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting federal or DoD customers and Agile software or technology-modernization teams.
- Experience with workflow analysis, data mapping, systems integration, dashboard or reporting requirements, user acceptance testing, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or comparable requirements and collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with Power Platform, Power BI, Dataverse, Azure, ServiceNow, Appian, Pega, Salesforce, or comparable platforms.
