Field-Testing Lead / Project Specialist performs and leads building enclosure field testing on new and existing building construction projects, primarily for fenestration (window), but other system testing includes roofing and air barriers. This position will travel frequently within and outside the local area, depending on workloads and project locations; estimate is 50%.
Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday; schedule varies based on project needs and testing schedules. This role may require early start times, extended workdays, and travel to project sites, with travel time paid.
Salary & Benefits Information:The salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do: - Perform and lead standardized building enclosure field performance testing of windows, curtain walls, and storefront glazing systems, as well as roofing and waterproofing systems, and other building elements
- Prepare reports of field-testing results
- Prepare proposals for potential new projects
- Collaborate with field testing manager regarding schedules, training, equipment and material needs, etc.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years experience with building enclosure systems and testing
- Working knowledge of and experience with standardized fenestration/window, and other building enclosure systems, field testing methods and procedures
- Ability to efficiently work on multiple projects, simultaneously, in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Good technical writing skills, and consistent and professional interaction and communication
- Ability to perform work from ladders, boom-lifts, scaffolds, swing stages, roofs, etc.
- Ability to climb stairs, bend, crawl, reach overhead, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds
- Technically competent and able to effectively communicate with clients, designers, contractors, and coworkers, both in writing and orally
- Maintain positive and strong relationships with staff members including those outside of Building Science Solutions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word
- Fluent in English for the safe and effective performance of the job
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
- Ability to travel frequently within and outside the local area (overnight), depending on workloads and project locations, estimate 50% travel time
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications: - Degree in a technical field (Architecture / Engineering / Construction Management)
