Full Job Description
This is professional service work of a managerial nature as the Bridge Management Engineer of the Department of Transportation. The individual in this position will direct the day to day operations of the Bridge Management Unit within the MaineDOT's Asset Management Office under MaineDOT's Chief Engineer. This position is responsible for the efficient management and investment in the Bridge Infrastructure to maximize the value of improvements included in the Department's Work Plan. Responsibilities include systematically identifying bridge needs, recommending funding levels, developing treatment strategies, and evaluating treatment effectiveness and progress towards achieving the capital goals of the Department. This position is a key member of MaineDOT's Bridge Committee, Bridge Posting Committee, and the Commissioner's Work Plan development group. Supervision is performed over professional and technical personnel.
