Position OverviewThe Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader is responsible for performing NBIS-compliant bridge inspections across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York. This role includes assisting inspection teams and preparing inspection reports to ensure compliance with FHWA standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist bridge inspection teams on DOT projects.
- Perform NBIS-compliant bridge inspections.
- Prepare bridge inspection reports.
- Analyze structural conditions and inspection findings.
- Coordinate with project managers and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- E.I.T. required
- 2 years of bridge inspection experience
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications- PE license
- FHWA NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges certification
Technical Skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- Bridge inspection reporting and documentation systems
