Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader

Job Details

  • Salary: $90,000-$115,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,500
Position Overview

The Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader is responsible for performing NBIS-compliant bridge inspections across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York. This role includes assisting inspection teams and preparing inspection reports to ensure compliance with FHWA standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist bridge inspection teams on DOT projects.
  • Perform NBIS-compliant bridge inspections.
  • Prepare bridge inspection reports.
  • Analyze structural conditions and inspection findings.
  • Coordinate with project managers and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • E.I.T. required
  • 2 years of bridge inspection experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE license
  • FHWA NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges certification
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Bridge inspection reporting and documentation systems
