Are you a strategic marketer with a passion for building brands and driving business growth? Central Specialty Pet is looking for a Brand Manager - Wild Bird to lead the marketing strategy and day-to-day management of one of our key product portfolios.

In this role, you will develop and execute strategic and integrated marketing plans that support business objectives, drive profitable growth, and strengthen brand equity. You will lead initiatives focused on pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, packaging improvements, and demand creation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to successfully bring plans to life.

As the Brand Manager, you will analyze category trends, consumer insights, market data, business performance, and financial results to identify opportunities and develop data-driven action plans. You will oversee the complete product lifecycle for your assigned portfolio, with a primary focus on growing and optimizing the existing business rather than new product development.

You will also play a key role in developing and executing go-to-market strategies and integrated marketing communications that increase consumer engagement across all channels and deliver measurable business results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze business trends in both revenue and retail dollars to optimize pricing, products, merchandising and assortment.
  • Drive achievement of annual business objective goals of revenue, profit, and share growth.
  • Provide thought leadership and support development and execute annual and long-range business plan, including solid analyses that deliver overall plan recommendations.
  • Manage project timelines, problem solve, anticipate deviations from plan, and proactively identify and recommend solutions.
  • Identify market trends and consumer insights that lead to product ideas that uniquely satisfy unmet needs, assessing business potential, and authoring new product concepts & development briefs to initiate projects.
  • Plan and coordinate new product launches from concept to market, including product development, packaging development, volume forecasting, pricing and sales communications.
  • Provide consumer- and customer-insight-driven selling proposition to enable successful field sales execution.
  • Lead implementation and optimization of omni-channel marketing communication tactical programs, with primary focus on digital and social media.
  • Evaluate marketing programs based on financial impact, consumer engagement and brand equity metrics. Monitor and optimize digital marketing plans based on key metric results.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to Sales, R&D, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Agency, and Legal to champion projects.
  • Act as an advocate for a positive work environment


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related business field (Required)
  • 4-7 years of marketing of consumer-packaged goods or brand / product management experience (Required)

  • Experience presenting to management and sales organizations.
  • Strong communication skills; written, oral and formal presentation.
  • Self-motivator able to deliver satisfactory work under limited supervision.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Combination of office and plant environment; safety glasses and steel toe shoes may be required on an intermittent basis. Hours will generally be regular business hours (on each respective shift) and average at least 40 hours a week. There may be some variation in work hours due to training schedules, overtime, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns. Period travel required - 5%.
