Full Job Description
The Brand Manager role is to provide leadership on all internal/external communications to ensure Bioworld provides BEST IN CLASS customer service for all clients. The role requires management over several brands to bring saleable product lines to national chain retailers for our target consumer. The position is responsible to direct the product development team to ensure all the brand requirements are managed to expectations internally. Plus, develop strong client relationships and be the in house brand "expert".
RESPONSIBILITIES
Included but not limited to:
CLIENT MANAGEMENT
Prepare and lead meetings: create agendas, compile placement reports, analyze business and forecasting, identify team
members requirements, etc.
Identify and research new opportunities to pursue and make acquisition recommendations to Licensing VP, Director
Build strong partnerships and provide high level of customer service to clients by responding to needs within 24 hours.
BRAND MANAGEMENT
Lead Creative Kick Off Meetings by directing design and product development teams on the brand vision to ensure an approved product line gets to the sales team in a timely manner.
Educate the sales teams on the brands and collaborate with them to ensure that Bioworlds Sales Presentations are aligned with our contracts and approval process.
Partner with Director of Licensing Operations to manage the BIG BIO Computer with the Marketing Team to keep the up to date information on the brands managed. Consistently research and provide updates weekly.
Work closely with PD team on a daily basis to ensure they are up to speed on all client and brand requirements, new directives, challenges, etc.
SALES MANAGEMENT
Drive brand revenue with Sales Team: present new brands/brand updates in weekly meetings, identify retail opportunities,category opportunities, track via placement reports.
Analyze weekly sell thrus, conduct quarterly business reviews to determine missed opportunities, shortfalls, and rights that are
in jeopardy. Work with VP, Director on a business plan.
Identify any obstacles to the Director of Licensing that are preventing sales immediately i.e.; slow or lack of approvals.
Contractual Licensing process must be adhered to and completed for all 4 major stages of submission: Line Sheet, Concept/Art
Strike off/Preproduction & Contractual.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
Be in the know and partner with PD team. Support 24 hour response time on all emails, phone calls, questions, etc.
All communication verbal or written must be of a professional level.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
Multi tasker that is deadline oriented, has the ability to prioritize with a high sense of urgency.
Ability to lead and be a positive team player is required for success.
Consumer Products, License Brand Management experience in apparel or accessories , pop culture knowledge or enthusiast,
Must be a problem solver with the ability to identify solutions and create new processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be a quick study.
Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners at all levels.
Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, power point and ability to learn new computer systems quickly.
