Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Branch Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our branches. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency and effectiveness of all branches within the organization. This position will manage the operational functions of the Denver branch and lead the standardization of operations across all branches, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational excellence. The Branch Operations Manager will work closely with Deposit Operations, branch managers and designated operations personnel to implement best practices and drive operational improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all operational activities within the branches, ensuring alignment with the organization's standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Manage and optimize the operational processes of the Denver branch, serving as a model for operational excellence across all locations.
  • Develop and implement teller auditing programs, including teller balancing standards, surprise audits, and cash counting, while working directly with branch vendors to streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with branch managers and branch operations personnel to standardize processes, ensuring all locations operate cohesively and efficiently.
  • Create and enforce standard email practices, subject line guidelines, and submission protocols for work requests, balancing sheets, and NSF/non-post processes.
  • Empower branches to manage NSF/non-post processing independently, with clear guidelines on submitting decisioning to Deposit Operations.
  • Establish and maintain measurable workflows, including Automated Funds Transfer (AFT) processes, ensuring operational tasks feed efficiently into back-office systems.
  • Monitor branch performance metrics, including account alerts, teller activity, and other operational markers, and implement strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments (e.g., Jack Henry) to enhance operational tools, including enabling account alerts and creating automation to streamline branch operations.
  • Mentor and develop branch operations personnel, providing ongoing education at various levels to ensure process understanding and compliance.
  • Ensure that all branches comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, regularly updating processes to reflect changes.
  • Provide regular reports to the CGO on operational performance, identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage multiple vendor relationships as assigned.
  • Develops, maintains, and amends branch and deposit related policy and procedures.
  • Travel to branch location as needed for operational support.
  • Oversees and monitors the physical security of branches as assigned. Including, but not limited to, camera footage review, alarm arming and disarming and all other daily security procedures assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in branch operations, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
