The United States Space Force (USSF) at the Pentagon is searching for a Branch Chief for Physical Security to support S2X (NH-0080-04, GS-14/15 Equivalent).

If so, come join the S2 as it trailblazes into its newly established Integrated Security Enterprise, as its Branch Chief, Physical Security. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the team that oversees all USSF physical security requirements for Headquarters Space Force.
Ideal Candidate:
Should have a strong physical security background with demonstrated experience.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Expert knowledge of conducting periodic security reviews, inspections and other security oversight actions to ensure contractor compliance with physical security regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and/or other security agreements.
2. Advanced and In-depth knowledge of the evaluation of physical security requirements in PWS, DD254s, and other authoritative documents such that the Chief, Physical Security needs minimal oversight to decide the security baseline.
3. Advanced and In-depth knowledge of policy, processes, and procedures related to physical security and strategic planning activities needed to execute compliant projects and/or studies within established time constraints.
4. Skill in working with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations.
5. Ability to encourage new ideas and innovations; manage human and information resources strategically and build coalitions to achieve common goals.
6. Ability to persuade others to accept recommendations, work toward an agreement, and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI clearance.
- Position will close in 5 business days or 75 applications (whichever comes first).
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- PCS/Relocation funding is authorized and may be made available.
- Employee may be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 30 days per year.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
- Within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DoW 3305.13-M, DoW Security Accreditation and Certification and AFI 36-2645, Security Professional Certification and Development.
- Must be able to obtain and Maintain, SFPC: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, SPIPC: Security Program Integration Professional Certification.
- Employee is in a designated position that requires consent and thereafter be subject to and successfully complete, an initial, periodic and random counterintelligence (CI)-scope polygraph examination as a condition of employment.
