Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Job Overview:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. This position primarily supports an Afterschool Program in partnership with Downey Unified School District. The BCBA will design, implement, and evaluate behavior analysis interventions and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and other behavioral challenges. The BCBA will work closely with clients, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote positive behavior change and improve the overall quality of life. The BCBA will also manage paraeducators and conduct orientations and training.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Act as the liaison between BEAM and community/district partners by collaborating with district behavioral teams to understand individual student behavior plans and communicate those plans to appropriate community/district partner staff and BEAM staff.
  • Promote staff and community relationships that are in the best interest of the students, BEAM, and its community partners.
  • Conference with staff and community partners concerning problems of student adjustment.
  • Assist programs in curriculum development, curriculum implementation, and instructional improvement for behavioral programming.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on the results.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that target specific behaviors and promote positive behavior change.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of behavior aides and other professionals working with clients with developmental disabilities.
  • Develop, plan, and provide professional development through modeling, coaching, and instruction.
  • Conduct orientations and training for paraeducators to ensure their understanding of behavior intervention plans, ABA principles, and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavior analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by BEAM administration.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and/or other behavioral challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles and techniques, including functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention planning.
  • Have and maintain appropriate certification to supervise behavior aides.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and guide a team toward goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in behavior analysis.


Working Environment:
This position primarily operates within a school-based after-school program.

Hours: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Job Type: Full - Time Salary: $85,000 - $95,000/yr
