Position Title: Senior Scientist, Bioanalysis
Location: Boston, MA

General Summary: Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist in Bioanalysis to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and interpreting complex bioanalytical experiments to support our innovative small molecule research and development programs. This position requires a deep understanding of LC-MS and related sample preparation techniques, a strong ability to manage multiple projects, and a commitment to advancing scientific discovery in alignment with Vertex's mission.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute technically challenging LC-MS-based bioanalytical experiments to support small molecule drug discovery and development.
  • Analyze and interpret complex, multidimensional data to generate clear hypotheses and guide experimental directions.
  • Develop and optimize bioanalytical methods to address critical research questions.
  • Manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and timelines.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting and implement innovative solutions to experimental challenges.
  • Stay abreast of relevant scientific literature and integrate new concepts and methodologies into research strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and contribute to the development of novel therapeutics.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, publications, and regulatory documentation as required.

Pay Range:
$192,000 - $288,000

Flex Designation:
On-Site Designated

Flex Eligibility Status:

In this On-Site designated role, you will work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
