BIM Manager

Lead the Future of Construction Technology

Location: El Dorado Hills, CA

We're looking for a VDC Manager / BIM Manager to lead project delivery technology initiatives across some of California's most impactful commercial and K-12 projects. This is more than a BIM coordination role. It's an opportunity to influence project strategy, drive collaboration between design and construction teams, and help shape the future of construction technology at Roebbelen.

What You'll Do

As a construction technology leader on assigned projects, you'll guide model-based project delivery from pursuit through closeout.

Leading Project Delivery Technology

• • Develop and execute project-specific Digital Project Delivery & Collaboration (DPD+C) plans
  • Align owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners around project workflows
  • Support pursuits, interviews, and project win strategies with BIM/VDC expertise
  • Establish project standards and collaboration expectations from day one

Driving Coordination & Constructability

• • Lead model coordination efforts across design and trade partners
  • Manage federated models in Revizto
  • Run clash detection workflows and drive issue resolution
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and help teams make informed decisions faster
  • Ensure constructible, coordinated project deliverables before work reaches the field

Managing the Digital Ecosystem

• • Administer Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as the project's Common Data Environment
  • Manage model workflows, issue tracking, reporting, and documentation
  • Maintain BIM standards, model quality, and trade partner compliance
  • Audit models for completeness, accuracy, and project requirements

Supporting Field Operations

• • Coordinate model-based layout and digital field workflows
  • Support laser scanning, reality capture, and drone-based documentation efforts
  • Work directly with Project Management, Field Operations, Preconstruction, PreFabrication, and Self Perform teams to connect planning with field execution
  • Validate model-to-field alignment through site visits and collaboration

Building Teams & Advancing Innovation

• • Mentor Digital Builders and develop future VDC leaders
  • Train project teams and trade partners on technology-enabled workflows
  • Improve standards, processes, and technology adoption across projects
  • Help expand Roebbelen's capabilities in construction technology and emerging solutions

What We're Looking For

You may be an excellent fit if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in construction technology, VDC, BIM, or related roles
• Experience leading coordination efforts and managing multi-discipline project teams
• Strong proficiency with:
• • Autodesk Revit
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Revizto
  • Navisworks
  • Bluebeam
• Experience managing federated models and digital coordination workflows
• Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and project delivery processes
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills

Bonus Points For

• K-12 or lease-leaseback project experience
• DSA experience
• Reality capture, laser scanning, or drone workflow expertise
• Total station layout experience (Trimble or Leica)
• 4D scheduling or 5D estimating experience
• Model-based quantity takeoffs
• Preconstruction and GMP development support
• Lean construction experience
• Team development and mentorship experience
