Electrical BIM Coordinator II

Summary:

As a BIM Coordinator II you will be responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities for electrical construction projects within mission-critical data center environments. This role supports preconstruction, design coordination, clash detection, fabrication modeling, installation planning, and field execution to ensure electrical systems are accurately modeled and efficiently constructed. The salary range is $90,000.00 - $130,000.00.

This position will be for the Major Projects Group, and you will be assigned to a Data Center Project in New Florence, Missouri.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate electrical BIM models utilizing Revit, Navisworks, and related software platforms
  • Coordinate models with Customer and other contractors including architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing disciplines.
  • Perform clash detection and facilitate resolution meetings.
  • Coordinate electrical room layouts, equipment clearances, cable routing, and installation sequencing.
  • Assist with development of prefabrication and modular construction strategies.
  • Verify constructability of electrical systems before field installation.
  • Support commissioning and turnover documentation requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and BIM coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate with field teams to incorporate RFIs, design changes, and as-built conditions.
  • Assist project management with quantity takeoffs and model-based estimating
  • Produce detailed electrical models for: Power distribution systems, Medium-voltage systems, Switchgear and substations, Bus duct systems, Cable tray systems, Grounding systems, Lighting and controls, Fire Protection & Security Systems

Education, Skills, Experience Needed:
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering or Related Experience
  • 4+ years of BIM coordination experience.
  • Experience with large-scale industrial, utility, or mission-critical facilities preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Adaptable to change with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be dependable, honest, and ethical
  • Ability to travel to job sites
  • Software Skills: Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, BIM 360, Procure, Microsoft Office Suite, TRIMBLE
