Responsibilities

 

The Senior Behavioral Scientist provides expert‑level behavioral research leadership, methodological rigor, and human‑factors integration supporting planning synchronization within Fusion Synchronization Center (FSC) environments. The role designs and executes complex behavioral studies, synthesizes attitudinal and observational insights, and ensures validated human‑centric findings directly inform operational planning cycles, decision‑support outputs, and mission effectiveness.

 

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Behavioral research design — Plan and lead major behavioral and attitudinal research studies addressing complex operational questions and high‑impact assignments.
  • Survey & protocol development — Design surveys, focus groups, and experimental protocols using validated behavioral science methodologies.
  • Sampling & data collection — Select appropriate sampling strategies and direct data collection activities across multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Qualitative & quantitative analysis — Analyze results using rigorous analytical approaches, synthesize findings, and produce research reports aligned with operational decision requirements.
  • Performance evaluation — Evaluate research performance outcomes and recommend methodological or operational adjustments that improve project growth and mission effectiveness.
  • Human‑factors integration — Integrate validated behavioral insights into FSC planning synchronization pipelines to ensure human‑centric considerations inform planning cycles and decision‑support outputs.

 This position is contingent on award of contract.

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
