Job Summary and Qualifications- You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all phases of nursing care provided on the program
- You will determine staffing requirements and material resources necessary to provide care to the patients on the program
- You will provide supervision, assessment and evaluation of, the competence and performance of the nursing personnel
- You will demonstrate expertise in mental health promotion and maintenance of high quality, comprehensive patient care
What qualifications you will need:
- Possess a thorough knowledge of current behavioral health concepts, principles and methods of treatment. Good communication skills a must for this position
- Possess a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Five years of registered psychiatric nursing, experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree
- Prefer two years of psychiatric nursing experience as a registered nurse in the specialty area of psychiatry, one of which was in a supervisory capacity
- Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Nevada
- BLS certification required
- CPI certification within 30 days of hire
