Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for a Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team in Belchertown, MA.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

  • Supportive work environment

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday
  • No on-calls, weekend, or holidays

 

LOCATION:

  • Quabbin Adult Primary Care Clinic
  • Belchertown, MA
  • Onsite parking

 

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides therapeutic services to patients/families.  Utilizes evidence-based therapeutic modalities and approaches to facilitate optimal clinical outcomes.  Makes use of Measurement-Based Care tools as needed and/or directed by the Clinical Supervisor to inform treatment decisions and meaningfully involve the patient/family in treatment.
  • Provides developmentally informed and culturally sensitive treatment to patients and families.
  • Collaborates with the patient/family to develop behaviorally specific treatment plans including measurable treatment goals.
  • Completes all documentation related to treatment in the clinical record according to established departmental standards consistent with Joint Commission guidelines.
  • Manages the necessary documentation and provides the information required by third-party payers to secure reimbursement, as needed. 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Required Work Experience: 
  • Three or more years of experience in providing treatment in outpatient mental health settings.
  • Preferred Work Experience: 
  • Five or more years of experience in providing treatment in outpatient mental health settings.
  • Licensure/Certifications:
  • Independent licensure:  LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker);  In some work settings, LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) may be permissible
  • Skills and Competencies: 
  • Clinical assessment, brief, evidence-based psychotherapy techniques, administration and interpretation of behavioral health screening instruments, and team-based collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and health care systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Knowledgebase related to issues of cultural competence.

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
