Description

Behavior Specialist Position: Behavior Specialists focus on supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live a full and meaningful life. In your role, you will get to know each person and begin to develop a plan to address the goals they have for themselves. You will create person-centered documents, such as a Functional Behavior Assessment, Behavior Support Plan, or Consultation Plan. Once the plan is completed, you will begin implementing the plan through weekly sessions with a person to work on behavioral goals. Through consultation and training, you will also work with each person's support system, like family, friends, and other support providers.

Requirements

Hours: M-F flexible hours, 1 evening per week (3:30-6:30pm to offer children in school or adults who work daytime hours an opportunity to have the service)

  • Master's degree in ABA, social work, special education, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or another applied health service area of psychology; or counseling (460 IAC 6-5-4)
  • Be able to legally work in the United States
  • Have a properly maintained vehicle with appropriate insurance
  • Be able to bend, squat, and grasp with both hands (to properly administer CPR), be able to competently administer CPR/FA
  • Demonstrate proof of a negative TB screening.
  • Benefits eligibility maintained at 30 hours of billing each week.
