Position SummaryBig Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington invites applications for a Site Manager in the college's BEdA Department.
Reporting to the BEdA Director, the primary responsibility of this position is to manage daily operations of off-campus instructional sites across the BBCC service district including Othello, Royal City, and Mattawa. This position ensures the smooth delivery of higher education services at each site by leading instructional site faculty and staff, coordinating closely with BBCC departments, and maintaining regular communication with key community partners.
This position requires an alternative work schedule that extends into the evenings and includes occasional weekend hours to meet student, departmental, and college needs. Classes, activities, partner meetings, and delivery of student services often occur outside of standard work hours.
This position is based in Othello.

Essential Job DutiesESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate assigned off-campus staff, associate faculty, student workers, and support personnel; participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, faculty observations, and personnel recommendations.
- Provide leadership and oversight for daily operations at assigned off-campus instructional sites, ensuring facilities, technology, classrooms, and resources support effective instruction and student services.
- Coordinate services and communication between off-campus instructional sites and college departments to ensure students have access to advising, enrollment, financial aid, workforce funding, technology, counseling, and other student support services.
- Guide prospective and current students through admissions, enrollment, educational planning, available funding resources, and other college processes to support persistence and completion.
- Coordinate student access to technology, digital literacy support, referrals, barrier-removal resources, enrollment activities, and other services that contribute to student success.
- Collaborate with the BEdA Director to recruit, support, and evaluate associate faculty and ensure compliance with federal, state, grant, contract, accreditation, and college requirements.
- Monitor off-campus operations, student participation, enrollment data, and program outcomes; prepare reports, maintain records, support audits, and ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
- Develop, implement, and improve operational procedures, work plans, and budget requests to strengthen service delivery, operational efficiency, and program performance.
- Represent the college through outreach, presentations, community meetings, recruitment activities, and special events that promote college programs, educational pathways, workforce opportunities, and student services.
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with school districts, community organizations, employers, government agencies, and internal college departments to support student success, program delivery, and community engagement.
- Manage off-campus facility agreements, building use, equipment, and other logistical needs to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted site operations..
OTHER WORK ACTIVITIES:- Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
- Ensure no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies. This includes, but is not limited to, security and safety, understanding of MSDS, equipment, infection control, fire, disaster, safe lifting and body mechanics.
- Ensure compliance with college policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.

Minimum & Desirable QualificationsMINIMUM AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Required- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience in education, workforce development, student services, community engagement, or program administration.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and experience building and maintaining collaborative partnerships with schools, community organizations, government agencies, employers, or other external constituents.
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practices for supporting diverse and historically underserved populations, with experience serving, supporting, or supervising adult learners and/or individuals in rural communities preferred.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage multiple priorities, analyze and solve problems, and lead staff or projects in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrate skill in effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated ability to learn and effectively use specialized software, databases, and student information systems.
Desired:- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Experience managing federal grants, including understanding grant outcomes, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Experience with outreach, recruitment, student enrollment, admissions, workforce development, and/or sales.
- Experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences, including one-on-one advising, small groups, and community organizations, school boards, economic development councils, city councils, or similar stakeholder groups.
- Experience teaching as faculty in a secondary or post-secondary educational institution.
- Professional connections to or knowledge of the Mattawa and/or Othello communities.
- Knowledge of Big Bend Community College programs, departments, services, and student support resources.
