About the role

CP is seeking an experienced Federal Capture Director to own the capture lifecycle for strategic pursuits from opportunity identification through proposal transition. This role will be central to executing CP's growth strategy across our core agency relationships and expansion into adjacent federal markets. The ideal candidate brings both the discipline of formal capture process and the relationship building instincts needed to shape opportunities well before a solicitation drops.

What you'll do

  • Own end to end capture strategy for assigned pursuits, from qualification through proposal handoff, including competitive assessment, teaming strategy, price to win analysis, and win theme development
  • Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders, incumbents, and industry partners to shape requirements ahead of RFP release
  • Lead black hat and color team reviews in coordination with proposal operations
  • Develop and manage teaming agreements, subcontracts, and partner relationships needed to fill capability gaps
  • Partner closely with the capture and proposal team to ensure smooth transition from capture to proposal development
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and provide regular forecasting and status updates to executive leadership
  • Support long range business development planning, including identifying acquisition targets or partnership opportunities that strengthen CP's competitive position
  • Represent CP at industry days, conferences, and trade shows to build visibility and relationships

Required Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of federal capture or business development experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading pursuits valued at $75M or more
  • Experience demonstrating hands-on responsibility of up to four (4) capture portfolios at any given time
  • Candidates invited to interview should be prepared to discuss their experience and roles supporting successful capture pursuits and provide a deal sheet upon request
  • Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes, including FAR, GSA schedules, and IDIQ vehicles
  • Experience building and negotiating teaming arrangements with primes and subcontractors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to executive leadership and government customers

  • US Citizen with 10 or more years of federal capture or business development experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading pursuits valued at $75M or more
