About this role

We are looking for a Bankruptcy Associate with Chapter 11 experience to join a boutique firm that offers big-firm sophistication with unparalleled hands-on experience representing corporate debtors. This is an opportunity to run cases, appear in court, and develop business acumen in ways that large firms simply cannot offer - with compensation that rewards those who deliver.

What will you be doing?
  • Representing corporate debtors in Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court workouts
  • Running cases end-to-end with significant autonomy and court appearances
  • Developing creative solutions to make all parties willing to accept outcomes in complex restructurings
  • Handling some bankruptcy litigation as needed
  • Working directly with partners who are invested in training you to become an excellent business-minded lawyer

Key Requirements
  • Chapter 11 debtor-side experience (creditor-only or bank-side candidates will not be considered)
  • Admitted to practice in California (New York admission alone is insufficient)
  • Business acumen and comfort with numbers/financial concepts
  • Stable employment history - job-hopping is a significant red flag
  • Creative problem-solving mindset (not a "just say no" approach) with strong EQ and ability to read the room
