Monday-Friday, 8:15 A.M. - 4:45 P.M.
Daily attendance will follow the Bancroftschool calendar.
Compensation: $42.28/hr.
Pleasenote this is a temporary, full-timeposition within the Bancroft School at Voorhees Pediatric Facility. Candidatewill be anticipated to work from July - December 2026How our NursesServe our Children:Voorhees Pediatric Facility provides a nurturingand home-like atmosphere filled with attentive and dedicated staff. All staffwill work collaboratively to support residents with significant medicalcomplexities and potential cognitive impairments. Under the direction andsupervision of a registered professional nurse and certified school nurse, a BancroftSchool nurse administers nursing care to designated patients as defined by theDepartment of Nursing policies and procedures, the Nurse Practice Act of theState of New Jersey, and as contained in this job description. Must be able toprovide the care needed as described in the facility's policies and procedures.
Daily Tasks will include: - Providing care for children, adolescents and young adults whilethey attend school in a classroom environment
- Administering medications safely and accurately
- Updating Plan of Care as necessary
- Coordinating the arrival and departure of students from Facilityand community.
- Assuring emergency equipment is present and functioningproperly.

- Active CPR Certification (only AHA or ARC are accepted; certification must include cognitive and skills training)
- Must be able to successfully obtain Criminal History clearance from Dept. of Education, Office of Student Protection.
Skills: - One year of pediatric experience preferred, but will consider other specialties
- Tracheostoma and ventilator experience, preferred
- Ability demands of multiple residents with prompt attention and care.
- Effective communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent timekeeping skills
