Position SummaryThe Azure & Microsoft 365 Administrator is a key member of a collaborative IT team, partnering with the IT Director, Helpdesk Technician, Systems Architect, and Analytics team to support and enhance the organization's technology environment. This role is responsible for the administration, security, and operational health of the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems while serving as the primary escalation point for technical issues beyond the helpdesk. Success in this position requires a strong customer-service mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting end users. As the organization grows, the role will continue to evolve, with responsibilities and priorities adapting to business needs, technology initiatives, and occasional support of subsidiary or affiliated organizations.

Key Responsibilities:Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Manage user licensing, tenant configuration, security settings, and Defender for Office 365 policies.
- Maintain system availability, performance, and security through ongoing monitoring and administration.
Azure Cloud Administration
- Manage Azure subscriptions, virtual machines, storage resources, and core networking components.
- Support cloud connectivity and security, including virtual networks, network security groups, DNS, firewalls, and hybrid environments.
- Monitor cloud resource utilization and costs, identifying opportunities for optimization.
Identity & Access Management
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including user provisioning, group management, and identity governance.
- Manage Conditional Access policies, multi-factor authentication, privileged access, and passwordless authentication solutions.
- Ensure secure and compliant access to company systems and data.
Endpoint Management
- Manage endpoint lifecycle through Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment, and Autopilot provisioning.
- Maintain endpoint security standards through integration with Microsoft Defender technologies.
Security Operations
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents across the Microsoft security ecosystem.
- Review and maintain Microsoft Defender and Sentinel configurations, analytics, and monitoring tools.
- Document findings, remediation activities, and security best practices.
Infrastructure & Collaboration
- Apply security and infrastructure best practices related to redundancy, segmentation, and least-privilege access.
- Partner with the Systems Architect on projects impacting Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, or security platforms.
- Support technology initiatives that improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
User Support & Escalation
- Serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues beyond Tier 1 support.
- Provide backup helpdesk coverage as needed and ensure timely resolution of user issues.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to support data access, reporting platforms, and governance requirements.
Experiences / Education Requirements- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred. •
- 3+ years of progressive experience in IT.
- Experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Sentinel.
- Prior experience in Tier 2 support, systems administration, or infrastructure-focused IT roles.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as NetSuite.
- Demonstrated ability to apply industry best practices and solve real-world technical challenges.
- Experience managing websites, SEO, and digital marketing platforms.
Relevant Certifications
Relevant certifications are valued but not required.

Working ConditionsGeneral Office Environment:
Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Typical repetitive office work- PC, telephone, and live meetings. This position may be remote.
Physical Requirements:
