About this opportunity:

ELITS is looking for a AWS Virtual Workplace Engineerto support the design, implementation, and operation of a modern Virtual Engineering Workplacehosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This role is focused on delivering high-performance virtual desktop environments for engineering users with demanding technical workloads. You will work closely with customer stakeholders, cloud teams, infrastructure teams, and end users to ensure a reliable, secure, and responsive virtual workplace experience.

What you will do:
• Design, deploy, configure, and support AWS-based virtual desktop environments for engineering and high-performance user workloads.
• Build and maintain high-performance virtual desktop solutions that support graphics-intensive applications, engineering tools, and demanding compute requirements.
• Optimize platform performance across compute, graphics processing, storage, networking, and user experience.
• Support integration with identity, access management, security, storage, and enterprise network environments.
• Troubleshoot performance, availability, connectivity, and application issues across the virtual desktop platform.
• Monitor platform health, capacity, cost, and service availability, and recommend improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, configurations, and operational procedures.

The skills you bring:
• Minimum seven (7) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent applicable experience.
• Expert-level experience designing, implementing, and supporting Virtual Engineering Workplaceor virtual desktop infrastructure solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services and enterprise cloud environments.
• Experience delivering high-performance virtual desktop environments for engineering, design, graphics-intensive, or high-performance workloads.
• Strong understanding of virtual desktop performance, including compute, graphics processing units, storage, networking, latency, and capacity.
• Experience with Amazon WorkSpaces, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), or similar AWS-hosted desktop solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
