AWS Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Lead II - DevOps Engineering
We are seeking a highly motivated AWS Senior Site Reliability Engineer with 10+ years in the IT industry spanning SRE, production support, and release management for enterprise applications.
The opportunity:
• Using VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch metrics, and logs to analyze network behavior.
• Debugging latency, packet loss, timeout, and cross-AZ traffic issues.
• Correlating application and network signals to reduce MTTD and MTTR.
• Own uptime and performance for customer facing services using SLO/SLI frameworks and error budgets; drive blameless postmortems and corrective actions.
• Lead incident management, triage, and root cause analysis; coordinate cross functional response and stakeholder communications.
• Establish and tune ing, dashboards, and log analytics using CloudWatch, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace for continuous monitoring of AWS and on prem systems.

What you need:
• Experience with deployment automation tools
• Experience in scripting/automation
• Experience working with runbooks and operational procedures
• Ability to manage and implement system upgrades, patches, and migrations to keep systems current and secure
• Knowledge of change management processes and functions, including compliance requirements for deployments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
• 10+ years hands on in production operations/SRE and release engineering;
• Strong experience managing hybrid environments (AWS + on prem).
• Knowledge in Python and Shell scripting and Linux administration is a plus.
• Deep experience with observability (CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Dynatrace).
• Solid database fundamentals
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Virginia
Compensation Range: $90,000-$135,000
