Full Job Description
The Assistant Vice President, Strategy Advancement serves as the strategic right hand to the Vice President of Pharmacy Hub Operations, driving execution, alignment, innovation, and scalability across all hub functions. Acting as a trusted advisor, operator, strategist, and integrator, this leader translates vision into action, ensuring strategic priorities are effectively executed while maintaining operational excellence, cross-functional alignment, and measurable business outcomes.

This highly visible leadership role is responsible for building and leading the strategic operating framework for a best-in-class hub organization. The AVP will partner closely with executive leadership to establish operating cadence, performance management infrastructure, transformation initiatives, and enterprise-wide connectivity that supports growth, operational effectiveness, and client success.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in manufacturer hubs, healthcare operations, and/or life sciences commercialization. Success in this role requires a proven ability to leverage real-world data and analytics to drive program development, identify growth opportunities, inform strategic decision-making, and support the design and optimization of innovative patient support solutions. The role also requires extensive experience developing go-to-market strategies and client-focused solutions for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers, along with demonstrated success leading P&L management, business planning, financial performance optimization, and growth strategies within complex healthcare or life sciences organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Transformation

  • Partner directly with the VP of Pharmacy Hub Operations to develop and execute the organization's strategic vision, priorities, and transformation roadmap.
  • Lead annual and long-range strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and translating strategy into actionable initiatives, measurable milestones, and clear accountabilities.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner on organizational design, prioritization, investment decisions, and business growth opportunities.
  • Drive enterprise-wide initiatives that improve operational performance, customer experience, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.

Program Development & Innovation

  • Lead the development and optimization of patient support, market access, reimbursement, adherence, and hub service programs that address evolving client and patient needs.
  • Identify opportunities to create innovative service offerings and differentiated solutions for life sciences customers.
  • Partner with operations, technology, analytics, and commercial teams to build scalable programs that deliver measurable outcomes for patients and clients.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry best practices to guide innovation and growth strategies.

Real-World Data Analytics & Strategic Insights

  • Utilize real-world data, patient journey analytics, healthcare claims, operational metrics, and market insights to identify unmet needs and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations that improve program performance, patient outcomes, access to therapy, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), outcome measures, and executive dashboards that provide visibility into organizational performance and strategic progress.
  • Translate complex analytics into actionable business strategies and executive-level recommendations.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Life Sciences Partnerships

  • Lead development of go-to-market strategies for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers, including commercialization planning, service positioning, value proposition development, and growth strategy execution.
  • Support the design and launch of manufacturer-sponsored programs, patient support initiatives, and integrated hub solutions.
  • Partner with business development and client engagement teams to identify opportunities, support solutioning efforts, and contribute to client growth strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to life sciences stakeholders, bringing industry expertise and market insights to strategic discussions.

Financial Leadership & P&L Management

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute business strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term enterprise value.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for P&L performance, including revenue forecasting, expense management, margin optimization, and investment prioritization.
  • Develop business cases and financial models to evaluate new service offerings, program investments, client opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, maximize resource utilization, and enhance financial performance across the hub organization.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, commercial, and executive stakeholders to establish budgets, monitor performance, and drive achievement of financial targets.
  • Support growth initiatives through market expansion, client development, solution innovation, and strategic partnerships.

Executive Communications & Governance

  • Own the strategic narrative for the pharmacy hub organization, developing executive presentations, business reviews, board materials, budget-related communications, and enterprise leadership updates.
  • Prepare leadership teams for high-impact engagements, ensuring a coordinated and compelling point of view regarding business performance, strategic priorities, and growth opportunities.
  • Drive governance processes, operating reviews, and executive decision-making forums that ensure accountability and execution against priorities.
  • Monitor strategic initiative performance, identify risks and dependencies, and proactively recommend solutions to address execution challenges.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Organizational Alignment

  • Drive alignment across operational, commercial, analytics, technology, clinical, and support functions to ensure coordinated execution of strategic priorities.
  • Build strong partnerships across enterprise leaders and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and accelerate results.
  • Identify organizational barriers, resolve cross-functional challenges, and promote effective decision-making across the business.
  • Develop a culture of accountability, transparency, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Business administration, Healthcare administration, Finance, or 10+ years of progressive experience supporting life sciences clients.
  • Proven leadership experience in creating hub strategy, patient access program design, or real world data strategy development and applications in pharma service models.
  • Extensive experience leveraging data insights, healthcare analytics, patient journey insights, and outcomes to support strategic decision making.
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic planning, transformation initiatives, and cross-functional business operations.
  • Proven experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies for pharmaceutical and biotechnology solutions/clients.
  • High confidence and experience with executive communication, stakeholder management, and supporting C-Suite and senior leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with P&L ownership, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management, including accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience developing business cases, growth strategies, and investment plans that support expansion, innovation, and client value creation.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$184,800 - $254,100 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
